eorge Tsavellas is a Consultant General, Laparoscopic & Colorectal Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and his practice is based at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital and Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

e also offers private consultations at The Chaucer Hospital, The Spencer Wing, and St. Saviour's Hospital.
Biography  Mr Tsavellas was born in the UK and qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990. After House Jobs at Charing Cross Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital, he entered basic surgical training on the University College and Middlesex Hospital rotation in central London. He subsequently entered higher surgical training on the Wessex rotation, in the South of England. He spent several years working in regional specialist units as well as the Professorial Surgical Unit at Southampton General Hospital. He holds the degree of Master of Surgery (MS) from the University of London for research into colorectal cancer which was undertaken during his training at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Mr Tsavellas gained the specialist Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in General and Colorectal Surgery in February 2003, and holds the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST), awarded by the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon within the East Kent NHS Trust in January 2004 and lives in Canterbury. He is the Clinical Lead for colorectal surgery at Margate and Canterbury Hospitals. |
