Biography Mr Tsavellas was born in the UK and qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990. He undertook surgical training at University College and Middlesex Hospitals in central London and on the Wessex rotation, in the South of England. He spent several years working in regional specialist units and was awarded the highly coveted degree of Master of Surgery (MS) from the University of London for research into colorectal cancer undertaken at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London.

Mr Tsavellas gained the specialist Intercollegiate Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003, and holds the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at the East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004.
